Orange peel in dark chocolate icing

49

Oranges come from Asia, where they originally grew as wild fruit. We will not tell you who brought them to Cuba and why they taste the way they do, but the Romans brought them to Europe in the first century AD. Oranges speed up the body’s metabolism and can therefore significantly help with a reduction diet. Orange also helps to release accumulated stress, promotes the flow of blocked energy and improves mood. The dry matter content of oranges is approximately 15%, the predominant carbohydrates being glucose, fructose and sucrose. Oranges are also a rich source of fiber and therefore have a positive effect on intestinal peristalsis. Thanks to the high content of acids, which are clearly dominated by citric acid, they support the digestive process.
